In July 1918, at the De Stefani winery in Fossalta di Piave, Ernest Hemingway received the first treatment after being seriously wounded during the First World War. On the tracks of Hemingway, on reservation, we propose visits to the winery and to the vineyards with tastings of wines and local typical food.
We propose 3 different tours, led by a Sommelier.

1) WINE TASTING
- A guided wine tasting session, including 5 different wines.
- A look at the commemorative plaque dedicated to Ernest Hemingway’s experience in Fossalta di Piave.
Duration: 30 minutes.
Price: 8 Euro per person.
Time: from Monday to Friday 8.30-11.30 and 14.30-17.00. On Saturday 8.30-11.30.

2) TOUR HEMINGWINE
- A guided tour of the "Le Ronche" estate’s vineyard.
- A guided tour of the wine making cellars mastering the wine making techniques.
- A guided tour of the ageing cellars, the oak barrels and the barrique room.
- A guided wine tasting session, including 5 different wines.
- A look at the commemorative plaque dedicated to Ernest Hemingway’s experience in Fossalta di Piave.
Duration: 60 minutes.
Price: 12 Euro per person (free under 18 years).
Time: every Wednesday at 10.00 and every Friday at 14.30 from May until September (only with reservation). It is possible to arrange alternative times for large groups enquires.

3) TOUR HEMINGWINE GOURMET
- The Tour HemingWine Gourmet includes the Tour HemingWine and also offers a wine-finger food matching session with "cicheti", typical local appetizers.
Duration: 90 minutes.
Price: 20 Euro per person (8 Euro from 10 to 17 years; free under10 years).
Time: every Wednesday from 10.00 and every Friday from 14.30 from May until September (only with reservation). It is possible to arrange alternative times for large groups enquires.

Languages: the tours are conducted in Italian, English and German, French and Spanish.

THE WINERY
In 1990 Alessandro De Stefani (fourth generation) joined his father Tiziano, in producing wines which are recommended in the most important wine Guides under a very natural philosophy: in the vineyard absence of herbicides and chemical fertilizers and in the cellar vinification without added preservatives and sulphites. Turning native varieties to better account, he developed a world distribution network which brings the De Stefani wines in the finest restaurants and specialized wine shops of more than 40 countries in the 5 continents. Tiziano and Alessandro still today are the winemakers of the company and they sign, with commitment and passion, any single bottle released by their winery. Types of wines produced: the typical white, red, sweet and sparkling wines of the Piave area and of the Colli di Conegliano and Valdobbiadene area and Prosecco.
