Stèfen 1624

Awarded today as the 3rd Best Italian Red Wine by Luca Maroni, the Stèfen 1624 is now celebrated in a video that you can see below.

Cited even by Mozart in the “Don Giovanni”, the Marzemino is the ambassador of Refrontolo, a hill town situated between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, north of Venice,  just where the De Stefani winery was founded at the end of the nineteenth century. Alessandro De Stefani, the fourth generation, believes in the valorization of the area, through the native grapes and gives importance to the Marzemino with the Stèfen 1624, a powerful wine with a great personality, whose name could not be other that “Stèfen”, the ancient surname of the De Stefanis, as found in a document dated 1624 in Refrontolo.
